Whether they are playing old songs or contemporary music, they give a touch of class to their performance.

Duo

Our string duo is perfect for events where you don’t have space for an orchestra or quartet to play or you have a low budget. We have a number of combinations for string duos. These include - Cello Duo, Violin Duo, Cello and Guitar, Violin and Cello, and Violin and Guitar.

The String Theory String Quartet

The String Theory Quartet is typically composed of two violins, viola and cello and provides a rich sound ideal for a wedding in a large venue, cathedral, synagogue, or ballroom. The repertoire of the Quartet runs from classic Broadway and movie themes through rock and roll up to today’s contemporary recording artists. Their music is best suited for easy listening and background at a reception as opposed to dancing. Solo trumpet can be added to the ensemble for brilliance during the processional and recessional of a wedding ceremony.

A flute can be added supplementing the rich warm sound of the trio with lightness, making it perfect for a garden wedding or non-traditional reception. This group is balances budget and is best suited to present rock covers through today’s contemporary music.
Whether you choose a string quartet or string trio for your wedding these groups are flexible and can relocate to cover the cocktail reception as well.

The String Theory Piano and Strings Ensemble

This stationary ensemble is our most versatile group. The instrumentation consists of piano, two violins and bass. This ensemble can expand its’ numbers to match a larger venue and provides an even more luxurious sound. With its contemporary repertoire, the piano and strings ensemble can also provide dance selections – perfect for your Wedding Reception!

  1. Wonderful experience! Radhi is great to work with, very flexible, very happy guy. I did not get to meet them before the ceremony, but I was late to the reception because I just had to run back into the chapel and hug them! Our guests were very impressed too. They play modern music with classical instruments, which was exactly what we needed for our wedding (a Metallica song, three Coldplay songs, Taylor swift, and Adele). Worth every penny. We wanted them to play Viva la Vida a certain way and they did it for us.
They traveled to Richmond, Virginia for our wedding at the U of R chapel – amazing acoustics!

Loved that they were able to play the Boondock Saints theme when walking down the aisle. I am definitely recommending them to all my friends/family for any other events, especially weddings. Thanks again String Theory!

  3. Wedding Ceremony Randle and Jacob

Entertainment Exchange handled our string trio (String Theory), our DJ (Michael), and the venue lighting. ALL were pitch perfect from start to finish. Let’s start with String Theory…they were worth every penny. They provided an absolutely beautiful arrangement of our song – Jason Mraz’s “I Won’t Give up” for the wedding party entrances. It had people in tears. DJ Michael followed our minor direction to a T – giving us just the right feel for the dinner, that then morphed into current pop/dance music for the post-dinner dancing. But THE BEST part of working with Entertainment Exchange was the lighting they did in our venue. It was warm, romantic, theatrical, and perfect – turning the Carnegie Institution for Science into an autumnal wonderland! Our Entertainment Exchange Producer, Peter Lloyd, worked with us beautifully from the very start to the very end. We couldn’t have been happier with the results.

  4. Corporate Reception

    Vickie,

I wanted to send a quick note and thank you and String Theory for their performance last Wednesday at B&O for Sovos. The client and guests were absolutely thrilled with the entertainment. Radhi and crew were wonderful to work with. It is so pleasant and refreshing working with such an amazing and humble group. I hope to have the opportunity to book them again soon. Many kudos.
    Thank so much!

  5. Non-Profit Reception

    Good afternoon Vickie and Rahdi,
Now that the dust has settled and things have calmed down a bit….I want to take a moment to thank you for all your help with Kennedy Krieger Institute’s Society Party last night. This was my second time working with your group and you certainly didn’t disappoint! The quartet was FABULOUS!!! I heard nothing but praise for their performance and music selection. It really set a great tone for the evening.

    Best Wishes,

    Michele

Hope all is well! I apologize, this is long overdue, but I wanted to take a moment to thank you and String Theory for doing such an amazing job at our wedding over Memorial Day Weekend!!! You are all so talented and our guests really enjoyed the music. Unfortunately, I missed most of cocktail hour between photos and dress bustling, but I was able to enjoy the ceremony music which was absolutely beautiful.

Thank you for all of your help and guidance along the way — you were a pleasure to work with! Any couple would be lucky to have you at their wedding. 🙂

    Thank you again for everything!!!!

    All our best,

    Hi Radhi (and company),

Enoch and I wanted to drop you a line to say thanks for putting on SUCH an amazing performance at our wedding on May 6 and during our cocktail hour! You guys absolutely brought our dream to life! Your performance at both our wedding ceremony and at our reception was one of our favorite parts of the day. Thank you SO much for being so flexible with our timeline and for accommodating our music requests! Seriously, walking into our venue while you played Dream On and then hearing the Cantina Song, Sweet Child of Mine, Someone that I Used to Know, and the Game of Thrones theme were some of the highlights of the night for us. Also hearing Jesu Joy and Pachebel’s Canon made me cry! How beautiful!

You guys are amazingly talented and we would not only like to recommend you to everyone, but we also hope to hire you guys again sometime! Thank you so very much for making our wedding and reception so magical.

Please let us know where is the best place for us to write you a rave review!

Thanks again and much love from the newlyweds!
